Held in Love - Acrylic on paper by Shiloh Sophia (Available for $300)
What if behind the scenes, behind our known awareness, there’s a part of us that’s operating subconsciously or unconsciously - shaping all of our decisions, all of our relationships, including one of the most important ones, our relationship with ourself and also with creation, our part in creation as a whole.
Behind the scenes, there’s an operating system that has been put in place by various factors, and almost none of them were put in place by conscious choice.
I’ve been studying my version of this phenomenon for many years, and of course this shows up in neuro-linguistic programming and internal family systems and psychotherapy, but sometimes it requires so much understanding of the models to dive in and get to some of the root systems which are shaping these unconscious and subconscious behaviors, which sometimes result in years of feeling like a victim when the victim cycle is over.
Continued internalized oppression that was placed there by someone else but that we don’t have enough wherewithal or consciousness about it to root it out.
Sabotage, rescuer, like all those things that we end up doing.
And we’re like, why do I keep doing that?
Why do I keep choosing that?
And we point to trauma, big trauma.
I’m like, okay, well, I’m probably making that decision because my mother, my father, because this thing happened.
But then somehow it just still keeps operating and none of us are really free of it.
But getting into relationship with it, like wrestling with it, like really getting into it is part of the work that we do in the Stardust Lineage.
Our method is Intentional Creativity®, which leads to intentional chemistry.
So the approach that we bring toward what it is that we’re working with, intentional creativity, which isn’t always in the form of an art form, it’s an approach to life, creates intentional chemistry, which allows us to navigate decisions from within not just high beta stress, but actually move into alpha and theta, which gives us different access to choices.
Because when we’re in the brain state like theta, the decisions that we make are different.
So many of the decisions we’re making are in beta, which is not bad, but it allows a particular frame of reference for us to choose from.
And if we don’t even know that there’s a possibility, we might not be accessing it.
And so I’ve mostly taught about these spheres of self in workshops and courses and deeper level curriculum, but I’m seeing it so rampant right now how much the unconscious programming, which we’ve ingested by power-over structures and sometimes well-meaning family and spiritual traditions,
and then the subconscious, the way that we’ve developed a personality in order to survive and navigate,
that I just feel like I want to bring some attention to it and some acknowledgement of how we can begin to work with it.
The model that I am working with is not new to me,
but it is a way of working with these spheres of self that becomes almost immediately available.
I’m going to be diving in and teaching through it in Stardust Initiation,
our nine-month program that is starting in June.
You can go to stardustlineage.com.
Our community is Stardust Lineage, but this particular class is the Stardust Initiation.
You’ll see it right there on the main page.
Depending on when you’re listening, you can join the wait list or applications may be reopened.
So with these spheres of self, I’m doing a class on it, which you’re welcome to join.
And we’re going to do a group healing ritual around it.
Sometimes we spend so much time learning about it and we miss the direct experience of it.
So I’m just going to be guiding you through using the model that I’ve developed.
And then those of you who want to do more, of course, you can always join us for wider, deeper, broader questions.
Activities which bring us into the flow state with our brain and show us how to make change.
I’m going to tell you just a little bit about these selves now briefly, and then we’ll dive more into it in the class.
The first one is the default identity.
This is where you just sort of end up a particular way—family, systems, religion, and culture all around you.
And until we become conscious of this default self,
then we’re mostly operating in a kind of collapsed personality space where we’re just showing up as we are without awareness that we could actually be collaborating.
Once we start to notice how automatic these subconscious patterns are that we’ve developed in reaction to what’s happened around us,
then we can do a little more work about what I call the inherited self.
And the inherited self has to do with epigenetics.
So this is how you ended up being as a result of DNA, your family lineage, migration, propensities, and affinities.
These are almost entirely uncuratable,
because they happened automatically.
So there are things we can’t change—but we can shift our relationship to them.
How much of that inherited self are we going to negotiate with?
How much do we accept?
And how much do we change?
Because we are not stuck in the same gene expressions.
Then we move into what I call the invented self.
This is who we become in response to survival, belonging, trauma, personality, and desire.
We invent a self to fit in and to be loved.
And this curation is often unconscious.
That invented self is where we spend the majority of our experience.
Only when we’ve wrestled with these can we move into the chosen self.
This is where we consciously shape identity.
This is also where we begin to access the soul self—
the knowing that you came in with something to live.
Not destiny. Not inevitability. But possibility.
And intentional creativity gives us access to that.
From the chosen self, we move into authority.
We are no longer victims of the default, inherited, or invented selves.
We begin making conscious decisions with awareness.
With practice, we can enter the innate sovereign self.
This is not earned.
It is who you are.
It is connection, knowing, calling.
And from here, we can truly live what we are called to.
This doesn’t necessarily make life easier—
but it transforms your relationship to it.
It gives you authorship.
It allows you to co-create your life.
When we are here, we can see clearly.
And when we see clearly, we act accordingly.
Our lives begin to be designed from this deeper place.
This is a big topic,
but even touching it gives perspective.
And why it matters now is because it supports you in navigating your lived experience.
This is not theoretical—
it’s about becoming conscious of what is operating within you
and stepping into full co-creative capacity with your innate sovereign being.
This is Curate Shiloh Sophia, with so much love from my heart to yours.
Can you feel it?
