yep very good advice. they sneak in everywhere especially as you say with older people who are not tech savvy. Its happened a couple of times with me when i have got messages from the 'police' saying they are investigating me. Even though i sussed out pretty quickly it was a scam i nonetheless had a few moments of real terror run through me . Not right. listen to gut and dont click

Relevant real talk. VPNs and malware software is something that Ive been exploring. Almost every other day I am reporting texts messages and emails as phishing or scams. And no number ph calls I dont answer..and social media holey moley thats extra on its extra! Vulnerable older people get scammed not just by overseas stories anymore but by actual people in the same country..yes discernment needed and triple checks. The deliberate transactional predators even make your cat sick!! 😁

thank you for this broadcast, Shiloh- the information you describe is SO relevant to almost everything that is happening in this world anymore.. It is definitely something we have to pay attention to. AI has become an insidious lurker. My computer was hacked maybe a year ago, and in the process of dealing with everything, i missed a few payments, and like you and Jonathon, my pristine credit score plummeted (over 100 points). Despite making every payment on time since, and letting the credit bureaus know it was because of a hack, it has not gone back up. I don't buy anything on the internet, and have limited my interests to well-known sites. While my outer world has narrowed, my inner world has blossomed, in large part because of the community i have found within Musea and to the integrity and due diligence you and your team apply to your work and what you share. Please do continue with this line of thought

Thank you for this uncomfortable podcast today. My mom asked to FaceTime yesterday. She said she needed/wanted to talk. We get on the screen and she tells me she was at Sam’s Club in the parking lot and a man walked up to her asking where he was, he seemed lost, but couldn’t speak English very well, and made her type in the cross streets on his phone. They said good bye and she got in the car went to go pick up pizza and realized one of her credit cards were gone. Then she realized ALL other credit cards were gone. She realized that guy had a buddy with him while she was distracted trying to help give directions. Within just a few hours of them being able to cancel all cards, these guys charged over $7000. It is not sexy, but it something we need to talk about. My dad is a computer consultant and he sees the “crooks” as he calls them, so much, and it is so sad. He taught me to look for signs like Jonathan does. I think about the people and their families that have to resort to this type criminal behavior and sadly I think about the learned behavior, I think about how sad it is on all sides. Today I’m just really thankful that my mom is safe!!!!! Anyways thanks for your prophecy, rather than just being scared if it’s gonna happen expecting that it will and being prepared as a community sounds like a plan! 🙏🏻🧶❤️
